the context
An association in Le Fresne, part of Familles Rurales, with a sports section and a cultural section: activities, weekly slots, instructors and a season that starts over every September. The info changes all the time and nobody on the board is a developer. They needed a site they could keep up to date themselves, without calling me 😅
what i built
A Next.js 16 site with Payload 3 built in, on Postgres, with an editing interface fully in French. Passwordless sign-in (a link by email), drafts and preview before publishing, and a "New season" button that copies last year's whole programme in one click.
There are also news posts, events with photos resized on upload, PDF documents, the board, a contact form protected from spam without any third-party service, and data export to CSV or JSON. The theme follows the Familles Rurales brand, readable by everyone.
For the handover, I made a paper help sheet and walkthrough videos built with Remotion 🎬
the outcome
Not live yet: going to production is the next step 🚀
